As a military spouse and member of a middle-class family, I understand the challenges that hardworking individuals face when striving to secure stable housing in an increasingly unaffordable market. A Housing First initiative saves lives, reduces costs, and builds stronger communities. By addressing the root cause of homelessness—lack of stable housing—we empower individuals to rebuild their lives and contribute to our district. 

My personal experiences have shaped my dedication to addressing housing affordability. As a military spouse, I’ve faced the reality of navigating limited housing options on a fixed housing allowance. As a former renter, I know the financial strain of high rents, especially in areas with limited affordable housing stock.

Affordable housing is a cornerstone of the American Dream, yet it remains out of reach for too many families. By keeping corporations out of residential rentals and empowering families to secure stable housing, we can ensure that the 2nd District remains a place where families thrive. I will work tirelessly to make this vision a reality, rooted in my values of trust, transparency, and integrity, and guided by my lived experiences as a renter, military spouse, and middle-class advocate.
