Establish a bipartisan Congressional Trade Oversight Committee to evaluate tariff proposals, monitor their economic impact, and ensure alignment with U.S. strategic interests.
Impose additional sanctions on critical sectors such as defense, energy, and technology to curtail adversaries' ability to fund military aggression or develop harmful technologies like surveillance and weapons systems.
Negotiate trade deals that prioritize equitable terms for American workers and foster growth in key industries like renewable energy and technology.
The lack of a universally accepted and precise definition of "domestic terrorist" has led to inconsistencies in enforcement, potential misuse, and diminished public trust
The Constitution gives Congress—not the White House—the power to regulate trade. Yet recent executive-branch tariff decisions, made with little oversight, have rattled supply chains, raised everyday prices, and weakened America’s credibility abroad. As a military spouse and advocate for middle-class families in Virginia’s 2nd District, I will restore Congress’s authority so trade policy is transparent, strategically sound, and fair to workers, businesses, and military communities alike.
In Congress, I will spearhead this reform—drafting the legislation, building bipartisan coalitions, and holding hearings that put working families and service members first. Together, we will restore checks and balances, protect Virginia’s economy, and craft trade policies that advance America’s values and prosperity.
America’s strength abroad depends on clear, principled responses to nations that threaten our security and undermine global norms. Recent aggression and cyberattacks by China, Russia, and North Korea demand a coordinated U-S strategy grounded in accountability. As a military spouse and advocate for middle-class families in Virginia’s 2nd District, I will champion a sanctions framework that protects our people, supports our allies, and defends democratic values.
In Congress, I will draft and advance bipartisan legislation that codifies these measures, partner with the executive branch for smart enforcement, and keep Virginians informed through transparent progress reports. By standing firm on sanctions that are precise, enforceable, and fair, we will protect our homeland, support our servicemembers, and promote a safer, more just world.
